SHAPING A COURAGEOUS LEADERSHIP IDENTITY

This will be a day for looking at the foundational understandings of conversational leadership, where courageous conversations are not an invitation to endless talking but a means of identifying the crucial exchanges that transform individuals, relationships and organizational identities from stasis and re-activeness to movement and pro-activity.

Many of these exchanges are non-verbal, imaginative or profoundly involved with the shaping and reshaping of our individual leadership identities: specifically to look closely at the way we are holding the conversation as much as our strategic goals.

The morning will be dedicated to the internal shaping of a mind, an imagination which is not only equal to the complexities and demands of the postmodern business world but can actually take pleasure and delight in doing good work in the midst of it all.

The afternoon will look at a sample of particular conversations that can crucially change dynamics in our everyday work environment and put us into a better, more anticipatory relationship to our future, both individually and organizationally.

Conversational leadership means identifying and engaging with the crucial

and often courageous exchanges that facilitate meaningful change.
